Classes
Building a machine is one thing. Learning how to use it effectively is another. A big shout out to the November 3-D Printer class for bringing their machines back for a workshop based around 3-D Printing Software. Special thanks to our instructor, Rolf Nelson, for taking us down the rabbit hole of slicing software. The workshop showed students how to prepare 3-D drawings as gcode files for the printer. Settings can be the difference between a sloppy, stringy print and a solid, smooth finished product. Rolf showed us a number of tips and tricks to avoid frustrating results.
