The September Maker Monday will be at the Wayne College 3D Maker Lab on September 16th, hosted by Tom Hammond.  In addition to a tour of the lab, there will be a review of the Prusa XL printer.

Some of the creative opportunities that the lab provides are:

  • Wall-size large banners & posters up to 42” wide using heavyweight paper
  • Wall-size prints using Kodak-style paper suitable for framing
  • Permanent outdoor vinyl banners up to 20” tall by any width
  • Die-cut stickers cut to any shape and size
  • Full-color logos, graphics, and photos heat pressed onto clothing, t-shirts, bags, etc.
  • Window static cling stickers/posters of any shape and size
  • Canvas prints
  • 3D printed items (our Zippy keychains are popular!)
  • Laser cut and engraved wood, plastic, and metal items suitable for awards and gifts
  • Large-format vinyl cutting and heat pressing
  • Dye sublimation printing good for custom mugs, mouse pads, nametags, fabrics
  • Wood carved objects, good for plaques and signage
  • Metal buttons that pin onto shirts to promote causes, clubs, and more

The 3D Lab is located in Room A-120 of the main building, 1901 Smucker Road (not the Student Life Building).  Upon entering the front entrance, walk down the main hallway, then turn 180 degrees when you reach the library.  Walk down the ramp, turn right to follow the hallway.  This is lower A-wing.  At the other end of the hall, you will see a large UAWC3 banner with 3D printed items in a display case.  You found us!

Meeting will start at 7:00 PM.
