May Maker Monday
Maker Monday is this coming week, May 20, 7-9 PM at Romich Foundation Makerspace, 13875 Cleveland Road, Creston, OH 44217. As usual, the evening will start with a program consisting of a number of people sharing various things. The featured presenter is Elliott Liggett, who will present on and demonstrate cloud chamber muon detection. He had presented this program at Wayne County Public Library in late 2022.
Elliott will also share his recent experience with the Ender 3 3D printers in terms of firmware issues and fixes. He just repaired the Ender 3 V2 belonging to Kaden Katanic, who brought his printer to the previous Maker Monday for help.
Program time will also include announcements and descriptions of upcoming classes. Attendees are invited to share their work, knowledge, successes and more with the group.

On June 22 Greg Barbu is teaching a Python on Microcontrollers class. Python, the most widely used programming language today, is essential for desktop, web, AI, and microcontroller development. This one-morning Saturday class is perfect for makers with some programming experience, offering an introduction to using Python to interface microcontrollers with lights, temperature sensors, microphones, and other external devices. The class will provide a basic understanding of the Python language to start your coding journey. The cost is $28.
On October 12 Rolf Nelson will be teaching a class on 3D printing, which includes assembling your own 3D printer. This class features the Ender 3 V3 SE printer, which has recently been procured and tested. As it can be assembled quickly and bed leveling is automatic, this class is scheduled for only a single Saturday morning, with the following Saturday being optional. Cost: $200. Registration for these classes can be done at https://www.SchantzMakerSpace.com.
